While we all hope to return to play as soon as possible, the health and safety of our players, parents, referees and team staff are our number one priority. We are continually monitoring the situation and will rely on expert public health advice for when it is safe to resume soccer activities.
As we move forward, we want to let you know that we do plan to move forward with the remainder of the GLA_NPL season. As you know, US Club has suspended all soccer activity through April 30th. I’m sure
US Club will be continually giving us updates as to when it will be safe to resume soccer activities.
Since losing part of March and all of April, we will be lengthening the season. You will be able to play league matches throughout the month of June. We are moving the GLA_NPL playoffs to July 11-12, 2020 @ the Canton HOF in order to give everyone the opportunity to complete a league season. At this point, I believe it is unlikely that the NPL finals will be taking place in Colorado. But, even if they do, we do not believe that we would have enough time for us to crown a champion and that champion have time to make travel arrangements. Also, with so many people out of work due to COVID-19, we do not think it fair to expect people to take on that added financial burden this summer.
