Great Lakes Alliance Now Accepting ID2 & PDP Player Nominations for the 2026-2027 Season

The Great Lakes Alliance is now accepting player nominations for its 2026-2027 ID2 and Player Development Program (PDP). These programs provide an opportunity for the top young players across the league to compete alongside the best talent in the region while gaining exposure through one of US Club Soccer's premier identification events.

Nomination Deadline

All player nominations must be submitted by Tuesday, July 28, 2026.

Program Information

The Great Lakes Alliance will select players in the following age groups:

• ID2 Program: Boys and Girls U14 (players born in 2012 or 2013)

• PDP Program: Boys and Girls U13 (players born in 2013 or 2014)

Each Great Lakes Alliance member club may nominate up to two players per age group and gender.

Midwest Select Games

Players selected through the Great Lakes Alliance identification process will represent the league at the Midwest Select Games, taking place October 31–November 1, 2026, in Chicago.

This year's event carries even greater significance, as US Club Soccer has designated the Midwest Select Games as a Tier 1 ID2 Scouting Event. The event brings together many of the top young players from across the Midwest and provides an outstanding opportunity for player evaluation and development.

No Cost to Participate

As part of the Great Lakes Alliance's commitment to player development, there is no cost for selected players to participate in either the ID2 or PDP programs. All expenses associated with participation are covered by the Great Lakes Alliance.

Tryout Information

Date: August 22, 2026

Time: 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM

Location: Hall of Fame Village, Canton, Ohio

Club Director Information

Club Directors and coaches are encouraged to nominate players who demonstrate the technical ability, work ethic, character, and competitive mindset to represent the Great Lakes Alliance at the regional level.
