id2 Player Pathway Project

1 min read

Established in 2004, US Club Soccer’s id2 National Identification and Development Program helps identify and develop elite youth soccer players across the country while providing opportunities to be scouted for U.S. Soccer’s National Team programs. The program supports talented players as they advance their skills and pursue higher levels of competition. id2 is an approved Olympic Development Program (ODP), recognized by the United States Olympic Committee and the U.S. Soccer Federation.

Great Lakes Alliance provides opportunities for talented young players through its involvement in US Club Soccer’s id2 and Player Development Program (PDP), serving U14 boys and girls through id2 and U13 boys and girls through PDP. Member clubs may nominate up to two players per age group and gender, with selected players representing GLA at the Midwest Select Games in Chicago. GLA is a founding member of the Midwest Select Games, which US Club Soccer has designated as a Tier 1 id2 Scouting Event, bringing together top players from across the Midwest for evaluation and development. Participation in both programs is free for selected players, with GLA covering all associated expenses as part of its commitment to helping players advance.
