The Great Lakes Alliance has announced the official dates and host locations for the 2026 Leaguewide Crossover Weekends for the National 1 and Pathway leagues. Member clubs are encouraged to save the dates now, as these weekends are a required part of the Fall 2026 league season.

Unlike a tournament or showcase, the Leaguewide Crossover Weekends are built into the regular league schedule. All eligible teams are expected to participate, and every match played during these events counts toward the official league standings.

What Are Leaguewide Crossover Weekends?

The Leaguewide Crossover Weekends are designed to give teams the opportunity to compete against clubs from across the Great Lakes Alliance while remaining within the regular league schedule. These matches provide meaningful competition across the league's footprint without adding extra events to a team's calendar.

To make the experience as seamless as possible, the Great Lakes Alliance coordinates the host facilities and referee assignments for each crossover weekend. As with all league matches, teams remain responsible for paying referee fees.

By centralizing multiple league matches at regional locations, these weekends help reduce overall travel for many clubs while supporting the league's commitment to community, player development, competitive balance, and access. The format also creates a vibrant league atmosphere, allowing players, coaches, and families to experience the broader Great Lakes Alliance community.

Updated Host Locations

The league also announced an important scheduling update.

While the crossover dates remain unchanged, the host locations for the September 26–27 weekends have been revised from what was previously announced. Due to field availability and changes in team geography:

  • U10–U12 teams will now compete in Willoughby, Ohio.

  • U13–U14 teams will now compete in Canton, Ohio.

Clubs should update their calendars and communicate these changes with coaches, team managers, and families.

Looking Ahead

The Great Lakes Alliance appreciates the flexibility and cooperation of its member clubs as preparations continue for the Fall 2026 season. Additional scheduling information, including team matchups, scheduling procedures, and league expectations, will be shared during the Annual General Meeting and Fall Scheduling Meeting on Sunday, August 2.

The league looks forward to another outstanding season of competition and seeing clubs from across the region come together during these Leaguewide Crossover Weekends.
